Fall Flowers & Mum Stand

Opened 7 days/week from mid-September to Halloween 9am-5pm.

Every year after Labor day, we open our Fall Flower Stand, located on Route 601 in Belle Mead, NJ. We offer an ever growing variety of fall flowering plants such as Chrysanthemums, Celosia, Cabbage/Kale, Grasses, and more in convenient deck planters and liners. All flowers are grown on our farm and are fall hardy. We also offer pumpkins/gourds, Hay bales, Corn Stalks, and other fall decorations grown on our farm or brought in from neighboring farms.

Plant care:

Hardy Mums: 8″ mums will do better when planted in the ground or larger planters, if not planted they require watering quite often, up to twice a day. 12″ & 14″ planters do not require transplanting and should be watered once daily in warmer weather, less often in cooler fall like temperatures. If the plant looks wilted, water heavy until soil is saturated. THERES NO SUCH THING AS OVER WATERING mums. There is no need to add fertilizer as we fertilize up to the day we harvest.

Celosia: Transplant 8″ celosia as the can dry up and blow over easily. 10” & 12” celosia planters can be left in the pots, water once daily in warmer weather and every 2-3 days when cooler. If plants look wilted just water heavily, celosia are quite tolerant of dry conditions. Celosia are not frost hardy and will need to be taken in or covered if there is a chance of frost.
