Deciding how much mulch you need for your project can be a tricky endeavor, especially for new beds or for a long overdue coating. If you order too little, we will not be able to deliver an extra yard to you, as our minimum delivery is 3 yards; too much and you’re creating extra work for yourself and over applying isn’t recommended. When taking your measurements, also consider the spread of your shrubs and perennials. If you’re mulching in late spring or early summer, your plants will have a much larger footprint than the early spring.
We recommend application of 3 inches depth for new beds or if you haven’t mulched in two or more years. For annual maintenance, a coating to 2 inches will suffice.
Although we do not come to your home for estimates, we do offer free estimates via google earth/maps images. Simply email us your address, current photos of your property will also assist us in giving a more accurate estimate. We are not to be held responsible for giving incorrect yardage estimates, as this method is not 100% accurate.
